Mayor hands out toys and a tv set
"the beginning of long lasting friendships with the hospital"
Executive Mayor of Msukaligwa Local Municipality recently handed over toys and a television set to the children ward in Ermelo Provincial Hospital.
The toys and the tv will assist in the rehabilitation of children and keep them entertained with its open view channel where they can enjoy their favorite cartoons.
According to municipal spokesman Mr Mandla Zwane, the donation was an important gesture as the municipality understand challenges faced by the hospital especially the children ward.
“Ermelo Provincial hospital is a referral hospital, so a number of patients from around the region are refereed here. With these gifts, we’re hopeful that the mothers would also distress and have something to keep them busy as they visit their children,”said Mr Zwane.
Executive Mayor Cllr J.S. Bongwe said this was the beginning of long lasting friendships with the hospital.
