Man fined after being found with possession of marijuana by Davel police

Davel Police arrested a 23-year-old man for the possession of marijuana on the N17 near Davel last Thursday.

Const S.W. Hlatshwayo and T.D. Mtshali were patrolling the area when they stopped a mini-bus taxi and searched the passengers.

2,2 kg of marijuana worth an estimated street value of R2 500 was found on the suspect.

He appeared in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on Friday, was fined R2 000 and released.
