Two arrested for house robbery in Warburton

Suspects forcefully gained entry to the house, broke a safe and stole a 9mm pistol.

Chrissiesmeer police arrested two people in connection with a burglary that occurred at a residential house in Nganga Village, Warburton.

According to police, the suspects forcefully gained entry to the house on 11 November, broke a safe and stole a 9mm pistol.

Police followed a lead that led them to Carolina where they managed to trace a 37-year-old suspect who showed the police where the pistol was.

He was arrested and charged with the possession of an unlicensed firearm.

A female suspect was arrested on the same day after she was fingered in the housebreaking and theft.

They appeared in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on 16 November and their case was postponed.

They remain in custody.
