Community members picketed outside the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court in solidarity with Nomcebo Mokoena’s family on Friday, 5 January.
Nomcebo was stabbed to death in her flat in Wesselton last year, 17 December.
According to a family member, she was discovered by her sister the following day.

He was found in Wesselton on Wednesday, 3 January.
He attended his first bail application last Friday.
The case was postponed to 12 January and he is remanded in custody.
