Police in Mayflower arrested a 44-year old male last Thursday for violating a protective order against him.
The suspect violated the conditions of his protection order on 24 January when he assaulted a child of the victim.
The protection order prohibited the suspect from assault, threaten to assault and insult the victim and their children.
The suspect first appeared in Eerstehoek Magistrate Court last Friday and the case was postponed until 29 January for further investigation.
