Hawks warrant officer appears in court

Hawks warrant officer to appear in Ermelo Regional Court on money laundering and proceed of crime act charges

Mr Petrus Doctor Nkosi (53), a warrant officer of the Hawk’s Serious Organised Crime Investigation Unit, appeared in the Nelspruit Regional Court on Wednesday, 16 May with his relative, Mr Tshepo Mabizela (27).

Mr Mabizels was added as an additional accused in Mr Nkosi’s case.

The accused was charged with money laundering. Mr Mabizela withdrew money that was allegedly deposited by criminals after a bank robbery was committed in Hazyview in December 2015, under the instruction of Mr Nkosi who collected the money in Ermelo.

Mr Mabizela was released on a thousand rand bail.

The case was transferred to the Ermelo Regional Court, because most of the criminal activities took place in Ermelo.

The case was postponed to 27 June for further investigation.
