Fernie Police arrest three for dealing in marijuana

Officers were conducting a routine stop and search on the Fernie main road as part of crime prevention.

Three men were arrested after being found in possession of marijuana on Friday, 13 July in Fernie.

According to Fernie Police’s spokesman, Const December Magagula, the police were conducting a routine stop and search on the Fernie main road as part of crime prevention.

“W/O Zweliyabona Madonsela and Const Thabani Ngwenya stopped three men and found marijuana weighing 8kg,” Const Magagula said.

All three men appeared in the Mayflower Periodical Court on Monday, 16 July.

One of the men was released, while the other two were remanded in jail.

They will reappear in court on 6 August.
