Davel Police arrest two in stop-and-search operation on N17 road

One man was charged for possession of marijuana with a street value of R10 000 and the other is a foreign and was charged for failing to produce a passport.

Two men were arrested by Davel Police in a routine stop-and-search operation on the N17 Bethal and Ermelo road on Monday, 11 November.

One man was charged for possession of marijuana with a street value of R10 000 and the other, a foreign national, was charged for failing to produce a passport.

The men, aged 26 and 27 years old, appeared in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 14 November.

The suspect caught with possession of marijuana was released on bail and the foreign national remanded in jail.
