
Ermelo Police are investigating two cases of armed robbery that took place on Friday, 16 November in Ermelo.
The police are warning to residents to be observant of their surroundings and of suspicious behaviour.
The first incident took place at the local Jet store, at about 5.30pm, while the employees were busy to close off for the day.
“Two men walked into the store and one of them pointed a gun at a employee and demanded the keys to the safe.” said Capt Carla Prinsloo, the police spokesman.
The two suspects fled the scene on foot with cash and cell phones to the value of R16 000.
In another incident, an armed man walked into the Express store and threatened the employees with a gun before he the fled the scene with approximately R7 800.
