Mayflower Police arrest two for stealing for cattle and stashing it at Hereford section

“After a thorough investigation by our members, three cattle were found in possession of the two suspects at Glenmore section,” Const Utla said.

Two men were arrested for stealing cattle on Thursday, 31 January.

The two men, Raymond (60) and Lucky Shabangu (45), were arrested by the Mayflower Police and charged with stock theft in an incident reported on 10 November.

According to police spokesman, Const Tryphina Utla, the theft took place at Hereford section where 21 cattle were recovered at a kraal in the area.

“After a thorough investigation by our members, three cattle were found in possession of the two suspects at Glenmore section,” Const Utla said.

The suspects appeared in the Eerstehoek Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 1 February and the case was postponed and moved to the Mayflower Periodical Court on Wednesday, 6 February.
