Chrissiesmeer and Breyten in the Msukaligwa Local Municipality have been suffering from continuous water outages.

Some residents report they have been without water for 11 consecutive days and elderly residents have to walk kilometres to collect water.

According to residents who have had to endure the neglect, for at least two years now, this problem has been ignored by the municipality and no improvements have been made.

Taking this into consideration, a petition was drawn up by the Freedom Front Plus.

Highvelder has sent enquiries to the Msukaligwa municipal spokesman, Mr Mandla Zwane and awaits his response.
