UPDATE: One dead in multi-vehicle accident, Piet Retief road closed

According to information send out on the Mpumalanga Safety group, the road is obstructed, but motorists are able to pass the scene.

A voice note from Mr Mike Trebble, Agri Piet Retief Veiligheid, was sent out informing motorists to take caution after one person died earlier today, March 23 in a multi-vehicle accident.

The road has been closed for forensics to carry out their investigation.

As soon as more information is obtained, Highvelder will update its readers.

Yet another multi-vehicle accident on Mkhondo (Piet Retief) road

ISWEPE – Three trucks and a vehicle were involved in an accident earlier today, March 23.

The accident took place near Iswepe on the Mkhondo (Piet Retief) Road.

According to information send out on the Mpumalanga Safety group, the road is obstructed, but motorists are able to pass the scene.

The accident comes on the heels of an accident yesterday that involved multiple vehicles and a long cleanup process.

Motorists are urged to drive with caution as dense fog was reported in the area.
