Truck reverses over man, leaving him critically injured
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.
ERMELO – A man was critically injured after a truck had reversed over him in the CBD on June 7.
According to Mr Russel Meiring, the spokesman for ER24, paramedics arrived at the scene at about 08:45 and found the man lying next to the truck in the parking area.
“It was said that community members had pulled him from underneath the truck,” Mr Meiring said.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.
He was treated on the scene and provided with several advanced life-support interventions, before he was admitted to Ermelo Provincial Hospital.
According to Capt Carla Prinsloo, the spokesman for Ermelo police, they are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving.
