Hundreds of exhibitors to breathe new life into your home at the East Coast Radio's House and Garden Show.

THIS year, the East Coast Radio House and Garden Show is all about colour. Whether you are the blue DIY guy, with a passion for tools, or the orange kitchen enthusiast, ready to bake up a storm, they have made it easy for you to find your true colour in life.

The show has been running exclusively on the East Coast for more than 33 years, and sees more than 90 000 visitors in the course of 10 days. The home inspiration that KZN has come to expect at the show will once again return to the Durban Exhibition Centre, from 13 to 22 June, with more lifestyle products and home inspiration items to create, revamp or just add tasteful touches to the home of your dreams.

After the successful introduction of colour to represent the variety of areas at the show last year, the East Coast Radio House and Garden Show have now incorporated colour to celebrate the theme of this year’s show, What’s your Colour? Find your special colour. Speaking of colour, Shaves Paints and Décor will show you how to add paint colour successfully to your living environment.

Orange is for kitchens, for the women (and modern men) these exhibits will help you turn your tired old kitchen into a spruced up new model with tasteful touches and expert advice, since the kitchens on display are members of the Kitchen Specialists Association (KSA). The Kitchen Studio once again have a designer kitchen worth well over R100 000 to be won, fully fitted with DEFY appliances.

Yellow is for food and features even more food exhibits especially created for the growing interest in budding Durban foodies. Last year’s Celebrity Kitchen cooking was such a hit with show goers that this year, the Robertsons Celebrity Chefs Kitchen will have celebs back with simple demos to make cooking fun. Featuring the first Masterchef, Deena Naidoo, and Robertsons Chef, Craig Elliott, who will share his years of knowledge.

Green represents the garden with The Gardener TV show and magazine’s green-fingered guru, Tanya Visser, once again helping gardeners and wannabe gardeners with her expert advice on how to create your perfect garden or breathe new life into your tired garden. An array of amazing exhibitors from Bonsai and Koi pond experts will also be available to speak about trends. The ‘Garden to the Kitchen’ Food Market Sponsored by Mayford Seeds has also grown with plenty new exhibitors demonstrating healthy wholesome living.

Red is for kids, where children accompanying parents can have a fun, safe and entertaining time while their parents enjoy the shopping and inspiring vibe at the show. This year, Wart and Fish have extended the hours of their fun programme to open at 11am and close at 7pm. The fun crafts, games and activities kids have come to enjoy at the Kids Zone will be themed Bright and Beautiful and children can walk away with nifty spot prizes and Bright and Beautiful goodie boxes.

Purple is for design with decor specialists in the main hall and the homegrown design area where show goers get a chance to see design inspiration to transform living spaces.

Blue is for the DIY enthusiasts. The Builders Warehouse DIY Pavilion is the place to go for all rough and tough fellas and women who wish to be DIY fundis. Designed to stage demonstrations by various suppliers, it is a perfect platform to get your ideas put into action with experts that will help you through the process of revamping your home, office or even restoring your favourite piece of furniture.

Tickets are R75 each for adults, R55 for senior over 60, and those under 16 enter free if with an adult. Show goers can also purchase a new multi-entry ticket for R100, which gives you access to the show for all 10 days.
