Broughton and Jonck Occupational Therapists

Broughton and Jonck Occupational Therapists is a well-established practice with more than 20 years’ experience.  We offer a multi-skilled team who have various professional interests.

Two of our Occupational Therapists are particularly passionate about school-based therapy, and work almost exclusively with children experiencing scholastic difficulties and who may therefore not be achieving their full potential.  Therapy includes early intervention, and may start as early as Grade 000.

Therapy usually occurs on a weekly basis, with individual sessions tailored for the needs of each child in order to achieve identified goals.  Occupational Therapy is holistic and focuses on all stages of the child’s development (play, social, emotional and school).  Inherent to this process is close liaison with all members of the educational team, medical team, and parents.

Broughton and Jonck are a well-equipped practice which enables us to facilitate learning and independence using exciting and varied approaches. Occupational Therapy would address aspects of function such as pencil grip, fine and gross motor skills, concentration, posture, behaviour, visual perception and sensory integration.
