Tall, living tree lights lit at festive fair

The tree and other festive lights on the Funnell property in Hillcrest will stay on every night in December from 6pm to midnight.

FUNNELL Cars and Funnell Properties held the first of what they are hoping will be an annual Christmas market, ‘Funnell Festive Fair’.

As active members of the community who believe in giving back, their intention was to bring the Upper Highway community together each year with carols, Christmas lights, local craft vendors and the lighting of their big Christmas tree on the property.

There were more than 40 stalls, including food, drinks, and local crafts.

The main attraction was the lighting of the 40m tall Christmas tree.

“We believe that the tree is the second tallest living, in SA records, decorated Christmas tree.”

“The tree and other festive lights on the property will stay on every night in December from 6pm to midnight,” said general manager, Brendon Funnell.

This event was a non-profit initiative, and made possible with the assistance of the Funnell’s friends and they hope to make it bigger and better next year.
