TEAM Brave which consists of a team of firefighters from the Gillitts, Hammarsdale and Pinetown fire stations and Rescuetech volunteers need your vote to help them win the 2013 Centrum® Guardian Project.
Team Brave has been selected as one of the eight finalists in the 2013 Centrum® Guardian Project for their heroic actions in rescuing a fellow colleague who was trapped in a dangerous forest fire on Wednesday, 4 July 2012.
Team Brave’s story will be one of the stories profiled on SABC3 in a 7-week documentary drama series called Centrum® Guardians 2013, hosted by Ruda Landman. The show comprises dramatic re-creations of the stories that the finalists have been nominated for, including safety tips for the public on how to avoid accidents or assist in emergency situations.
Team Brave feature in episode 2 on SABC3 on Sunday, 11 August 2013 at 4.30pm (repeat on Wednesday, 14 August at 3.15pm). Their full story can be viewed online at www.centrumguardian.com.
