15 injured in M13 taxi accident

ER24 paramedics rushed to an accident scene on the M13 today.

Fifteen commuters sustained various injuries when the taxi they were traveling in overturned on the M13 in Pinetown earlier today.

According to Luyanda Majija, media spokesman for ER24, paramedics arrived on scene to treat the 15 commuters for injuries which ranged from serious to minor.

“Some commuters were suspected to have spinal injuries while others had soft tissue injuries. One patient with serious injuries was airlifted from the scene by a medical helicopter and taken to Albert Luthuli Hospital,” said Majija.

The remaining passengers were transported to Addington Hospital and King Edward Hospital. The exact cause of the collision is under investigation.
