Trucker critically injured in morning crash
A truck driver is fighting for his life after an accident on the N3 south on Friday morning.
An accident involving two trucks on the N3 south just past the Shongweni off ramp on Friday morning has left a heavy goods truck driver critically injured.
Reports from Netcare 911 indicate that the truck slammed into the rear of another heavy goods vehicle while traveling towards Durban at approximately 4am on Friday.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway severely obstructed with accident debris and the twisted remains of the trucks.
The driver of the rear truck was trapped in the twisted metal of the cab that had been ripped apart on impact.
After the man was stabilised at the scene he was transported to a hospital in Durban.
The exact circumstances of the accident are still under investigation.
Take the truck owners to court and fine them HEAVILY ….. they are employing unqualified drivers – how many more lives have to be lost???
