Metro cops injured in bike crash

Metro police officers injured in an accident on the M13.

TRAFFIC was severely affected on the M13 45th Cutting, Westville after two metro police motorbikes collided with a car.
Two metro police bike unit members were injured.

Operations Director at Rescue Care paramedics, Garrith Jamieson said when paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the two officers on the side oh the road injured.

“A quick assessment revealed that they sustained moderate injuries. They were both placed on specialized spinal equipment to prevent any further injury before being transported to a nearby hospital.

It is unclear what caused the two bikers and car to collide however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further,” he said.
