IN the most recent reported incident concerning the ongoing NUMSA strike, it is believed that the striking workers overturned a vehicle in Pinetown this morning.

According to a source who did not wish to be named, the group of protesters were said to have overturned the unmarked steel company’s vehicle at the corner of Otto Volek and Blair Road.

Reports of violence as strike continues

The source said they smashed the car windows and chased the driver up the road. Nothing was said to have been stolen from the vehicle.

According to a report received at 11.30am, there were more than 200 strikers along Valley View Road.

Motorists are cautioned to be wary when travelling in the area.
