Vets enlighten guests at Golden Paw meeting

Join the Kloof and Highway SPCA's Golden Paw Society and help make a difference.

GUESTS who attended the Golden Paw Society’s July meeting were addressed by two veterinarians who shared details about their daily experiences at the Kloof and Highway SPCA clinic.

The veterinarians, Dr Katherine McIver and Dr Mary-Ann Anderson, also shared the platform with Colin Petersen, who served 20 years as the manager at the Kloof and Highway SPCA from 1988 to 2008. He spoke about the fascinating history of the Kloof and Highway SPCA.

Those in attendance were also addressed by other key SPCA staff members who discussed latest news, activities and events.

Lisa Gadd, PR and outreach officer at the Kloof and Highway SPCA, said, “The aim of the Golden Paw Society is to welcome our supporters in as part of the SPCA family and keep them informed about the work undertaken by the Kloof and Highway SPCA in terms of inspectorate activities, animal healthcare, care of animals in our shelter, outreach clinics and education to promote the humane treatment of all animals.”

The Kloof and Highway SPCA extends an invitation to all supporters and residents who care about the welfare of animals to join the Golden Paw Society. They host a morning tea every month, on the last Thursday of the month. For more information, contact Barbara Laubscher on fundraising@kloofspca.co.za or 031 764 1212/3.
