Pedestrian killed on the N3

A PEDESTRIAN was killed on the N3 Durban-bound between Paradise Valley and the Pavillion off-ramp on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Chris Botha, media liaison officer for Netcare 911, reports from the scene indicate that a worker tried to run across the highway when he was hit by a car.

“Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedic as well as their rescue unit with a doctor on board arrived at the scene and found a man lying in the roadway with life threatening injuries.

“Paramedics worked at the scene for about 45 minutes trying to resuscitate the patient and was declared dead on scene,” said Botha.
