Gugu dares people to use their talents

Gugu Masinga, a mother of three believes that everyone has got a legacy to leave behind.

WITH Mandela Day coming up on Monday, 18 July, Gugu Masinga who started the Dare do Something project is calling on people to stand up and do something valuable with their lives.

Gugu described herself as a person who likes to inspire people and discover their talents. “I was inspired to start the Dare do Something when Tata Madiba passed away. I asked myself what legacy am I going leave behind.”

She said she believed that everyone has a talent and if people pursued this talent, the world will be a better place.

“What I do, I talk to people, guide, inspire and give them right direction to do something about their talents. I strongly believe that some things do not need money to be a success, which is the reason I always advise people to volunteer their time and help where they can.”

Gugu said she planned to have workshops especially for young people to help them write their CVs and covering letters when applying for jobs.

“Everyone can make a difference in their lives if they put their minds to it,” added Gugu.
