PINETOWN Boys’ High School old boys started a new tradition at the school by donating a school bell.
PBHS principal, Raysellan Naidoo, extended his appreciation to the old boys especially the old boys from the 1984 class, Dave Buckingham, Dave Baker and Andrew Mardon.
Raysellan emphasized to the Grade 8 pupils that they will ring the bell this year to symbolise the start of the high school years.
The next time they will get to ring this bell will be in 2020 when they say goodbye to PBHS. We do not want them to spend any more than five years at the school, they should take their school work very seriously,” he said.
He added that the old boys have started a new tradition at the school with the bell symbolising the official welcome to the Grade 8 pupils and, in the future, the end of their high school years.
