Careways entertain senior citizens

Kloof Careways visit Waterfall Gardens Retirement Village.

CAREWAYS members visited Waterfall Gardens Retirement Village on Thursday. They sang for the residents and also entertained them with Zumba.

A parent from Careways, Barbara Taljard, said this was to brighten the residents’ day.

 

Careways members made cards for Waterfall Gardens Retirement Village residents. Timothy Scullard, Elizabeth Rogers (85) and Tacitah Bentley.

 

She also presented an informative talk on Down Syndrome.

After the fun activities, everyone enjoyed a cup of tea/coffee and cakes.

 

Happy reunion: A Waterfall Gardens Retirement Village resident was overjoyed to see her former learner, Brenda Boisson.

 

One of the highlights was when one of the residents spotted her former learner, Brenda Boisson.

Yvonne Wighton (90) said she use to look after Boisson at Paddington Play Centre.

“I taught her how to walk,” said an excited and proud Wighton.
