Hit the fairways for Hospice

Make a donation, sponsor a hole or enter a four ball into the Khanya Hospices golf day.

SHINE those golf clubs and dust off your shoes and get ready for the Khanya Hospice golf day fund-raiser on Friday, 24 November at the Kloof Country Club.

The event has been arranged by the organisation’s avid supporter, Ron Joubert, also known as ‘the stray dog’.

He is an accomplished adventure cyclist and toured Australia on his own a year ago.

He is currently planning to tour parts of the United States of America on a solo adventure next year while simultaneously fund-raising for the hospice.

“My mission is to create awareness and raise much needed funds for Khanya Hospice,” said Rob.

“Neil and his staff dedicate their lives in support of terminally ill patients in and around our communities and I feel I am able to help them this way.”

The organisation is not funded by the government and relies heavily on support from businesses and individual to financially support the work they do.

The Khanya Hospice offers free palliative nursing care to people with life threatening diseases.

To enter a four ball, donate prizes or sponsor a hole along the course, contact Steve on 083 408 1762 or Trudy on 082 443 8737 or e-mail hospice@scottnet.co.za.
