Zahra makes moves to Egypt for chess tourney

Zahra Kara will represent SA at the African Youth Chess Championship in Egypt this week.

ZAHRA Kara of Star College has qualified to receive her South African colours for chess this year and will be competing in an international competition this week.

Zahra received a letter from the South African Chess Federation confirming she has been selected to join the squad to compete in The African Youth Chess Championship.

This prestigious tournament will be hosted by the Egyptian Chess Federation in Giza, Egypt from 2 to 11 December.

Star College commended Zahra for her consistency and love for chess.
