13 people injured in Hillcrest crash

No serious injuries were reported. Patients were treated on scene and transported to hospital.

THIRTEEN people were injured this morning following a rear-end collision between a light motor vehicle and a taxi on Inanda Road in Hillcrest.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene shortly before 7.30am and found the two vehicles on the side of the road.

“The passengers from the taxi were found walking around on the scene. Paramedics assessed the patients and found that 13 people sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, there were no fatalities or serious injuries,” said ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring.

Patients were treated on scene and transported to various hospitals.
