170 kilograms of food collected for Husky Rescue KZN
Visitors were encouraged to fill Santa's sleigh with much needed dog food.
SANTA Claus’ visit to Husky Rescue KZN led to a collection of 170 kilograms worth of food during a family-fun day.
Santa challenged the visitors to fill his sleigh with much needed dog food and everyone had fun as 50 huskies took the visitors for a walk, which was followed by lots of husky cuddles.
They also sold various Husky Rescue KZN memorabilia and their famous breakfast rolls to raise R4 000 towards various expenses such at rent, vet bills and staff wages.
Husky Rescue KZN is a registered NPO specialising in the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of huskies. Husky Rescue KZN is currently inundated with requests to take in more huskies due to neglect, abandonment, emigration and downsizing.

There are various ways one can help including adopting a husky, volunteering with the huskies or making a cash donation,” said Chanti Wilson, Husky Rescue KZN marketing volunteer.
