TWO house robbers were arrested after a joint effort with SAPS, Metro Dog Unit, security companies and the neighbourhood watch on Saturday.
Capt Linzi Smith, communications officer at Hillcrest SAPS, said three men entered premises on Everton Road and held up and tied a family at about 5am on Saturday, 19 May.

It is believed they stole a laptop, jewellery and a cellphone. All three robbers were wearing balaclavas.
“After leaving that house they proceeded to another house just around the corner, on Madeline Road and attempted the same. Both victims fought with the robbers and also managed to press their panic button,” said Smith.
However, the robbers still managed to take jewellery and two cell phones and fled the second house.
“With the SAPS and the assistance of Metro Dog unit, local security companies, the neighbourhood watch and the community, they managed to apprehend two of the three robbers and recover all the property that was stolen in the first house robbery,” added Smith.
