Taste sensation with Irish Association

Guests and members of the Irish South African Association enjoyed a wine pairing evening at Salisbury Café recently.

CLOSE on 50 guests gathered at the Salisbury Café in Westville for a recent Food and Wine Pairing evening, proudly hosted by the Irish South African Association.

Members and friends were greeted at the door with a whiskey aperitif before they were introduced to the first of six different white and red wine tastings that accompanied the delicious three-course meal.

Distell wines introduced the six blind tastings which added to the interest as each table debated the wines’ varietal and label. Guests were also entertained early in the evening with a display of Irish Folk Dancing performed by a talented duo from Celtic Heartbeat.

During the evening, three lucky draw winners went home with bottles of Dubliner’s Whiskey and Irish treats.
