Hannah moves bravely through life

Westville Senior Primary School's SPAR Star of the Month - September 2019.

HANNAH Dhooma is a Grade 5 learner at Westville Senior Primary School and is its SPAR Star of the Month.

Hannah recently represented her school and the Westville Public Library at an inter-district Municipal Library Services Storytelling Competition. She achieved first place for her rendition of the classic story of Ferdinand, which she told in Afrikaans, her second language.

She is a friendly, well-mannered and diligent learner who excels at sport, academics and cultural activities.

She plays netball and hockey for the A team and is a member of the KZN swimming team as she excels at freestyle and breaststroke.

Hannah was also recently selected for the KZN midlands netball team.

Last term, Hannah achieved first place for academics in her class and in the grade. When asked to describe herself in one word, she chose to call herself brave.

She explained that this is because she chooses to actively engage in the wonderful opportunities that each day offers, since she doesn’t want to miss out on experiences or have regrets.

Hannah participates annually in the speech and drama festival and she loves to read.
