Naidoo wrote on his social media accounts, “Please help me find this lad so that I could teach him a lesson. And let me have his parents’ details too so that I can visit to share how he has dishonoured them. The man he assaulted has already stood up more courageously than the lad ever will. I am putting up R10 000 to help the university identify the perpetrator so that he can be charged and appropriately disciplined.”

The UKZN management said they have been in contact with the professor and they are providing him with support and counselling.

They also said they are working with SAPS so that the perpetrator can be arrested.
