Highway Youth Forum thanks Pinehaven knitters

The party was to thank the knitters for their dedication and kindness.

LEARNERS from Pinetown Girls’ High School and Ziphhathele High School, who are participants in the Highway Youth Forum, held a tea party for Pinehaven residents who knit winter woolies for needy children in KwaZulu-Natal.

The party was to thank the knitters for their dedication and kindness.

Over the past seven years, the Pinehaven knitters have produced more than 1000 beanies and as many jerseys, blankets and baby clothes.

These are distributed locally and as far afield as Lesotho.

The Highway Youth Forum runs under the banner of the Rotary Club of Pinetown and is comprised of learners from schools in Pinetown, Kloof, Westville, Clermont and Bonela.
