No arrests made for Pinetown drive-by shooting

Police said that 13 rifle cartridges were recovered at the scene of the crime.

NO arrests have been made for the brazen shooting of a 37-year-old man on Monday evening at the intersection of St Johns Avenue and Josiah Gumede (Old Main) Road.

The victim was in a a white VW Polo when he was shot at by unknown suspects.

“At this stage, it is unknown how many suspects were involved in the shooting. Police are investigating a case of murder and no arrests have been made,” said Pinetown SAPS communications officer, Captain Bongumusa Manqele.

He also noted that 13 rifle cartridges were recovered at the scene by police.
