Wanted Hillcrest thief apprehended
The thief is believed to be linked to home robberies in Gillitts, Hillcrest and Everton.
A MAN, who was spotted with a large amount of stolen goods, was arrested in the Upper Highway area on Friday morning.
“The Blue Security Tactical Team received information via the Hillcrest / West Riding network that a suspect had been spotted running along the railway line carrying stolen items,” said Blue Security’s Highway Tactical Team Ambassador.

A security guard raced to the area and tackled and apprehended the thief.
The man was carrying three laptops, shoes and extension cords.
The stolen goods were later identified by the Hillcrest homeowner.
The arrested man has been connected to numerous housebreakings in the area. The robber was placed in SAPS custody.
