#MatricResults2020: Gelofte learner gets second highest mark for physical science in the country
Gelofte's 2020 Dux passed physical science with a perfect score of 100 per cent.

GELOFTE learner, Stephen Kruger is the second highest achiever for physical science in the country. The 2020 Dux received seven distinctions.

Kruger said he was extremely grateful to represent the KZN province.
“I am an analytical person, I love number subjects. Besides numbers coming naturally to me, it also required a lot of practice and dedication.”
He also wrote additional maths (IEB) and obtained 93 per cent. “I wanted to get a head start as I will be studying actuarial science at the University of Pretoria,” he said.
Tyle Dryer was the second top achiever at Gelofte with six distinctions while Lianke de Plessis and Alicia Koekemoer passed with five distinctions.
Principal of the school, Misha Martin said he was proud of his learners. “It shows that hard work definitely pays off especially after they difficult and challenging year.”
