Car stolen in Isipingo recovered in Hillcrest

Blue Security has advised motorists to always be wary of their surroundings.

A local security company has advised motorists to always be vigilant. This warning comes after Blue Security responded to two cases of stolen vehicles.

Blue security operations director, Brian Jackson said one of cars, a Mercedes Benz stolen in Isipingo, was recovered in Inanda Road, Hillcrest on Tuesday, August 17 and handed over to Hillcrest SAPS.

Jackson said a second car, a BMW, was recovered in Umlazi after a brave patrol officer gave chase and followed the armed men.

“According to the South African Police Service reports, 4 513 carjackings occurred in the first quarter of 2021 in South Africa. About 757 of these reported cases were in KwaZulu-Natal and predominantly from Durban,” said Jackson
