Patrollers welcome dedicated vehicle
Residents said this was a milestone event for the Parkside community.
THE Parkside Precinct, under the umbrella of the Malvern Community Policing Forum (MCPF), officially launched a dedicated vehicle into its Blue Zone precinct on Saturday, October 23 at Parkside Primary School.
According to the chairman of the MCPF, Kevin Pillay, the project was launched back in 2019, but was delayed due to several challenges, including Covid-19.

The Malvern CPF, together with Blue Security, undertook several measures to finalise this project and to launch the Parkside dedicated vehicle that would enable the team to strengthen community safety through continued security initiatives and tactical investments from Blue Security.
“With this, we ensure increased visibility and greater peace of mind for the Parkside community. We have a passion to serve the community and will continue to do so,” said Pillay.

The launch was held as a fun day where members of the community were invited to go along and meet Captain Blue, the new, dedicated vehicle and to enjoy the fun activities for children, a braai with music and entertainment, as well as browse through the technological gadgets on offer.
