Two killed in M7 early morning crash

The incident occurred just after 6am on Thursday morning.

EMER-G-MED paramedics responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on the M7 eastbound near the Bellville Road area shortly after 6:00 on Thursday morning.

According to Emer-G-Med spokesperson, Kyle van Reenen, a car overturned.

“On arrival on scene paramedics were met with absolute mayhem as the twisted frames of three vehicles occupied the width of the roadway”, he said.

 

According to reports from the scene, two men died as a result of their injuries and were declared dead when paramedics arrived.

Two more people suffered critical injuries and were treated and stabilised by Advanced Life Support paramedics on the spot before being transported to a neighboring hospital for further treatment.

“The South African Police Service who were on scene will be investigating the matter further,” van Reenen concluded.
