SPCA’s Reading Rooster has just the right book for you
Every purchase goes towards the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s fight against animal cruelty.
THE Kloof and Highway SPCA has a quaint bookshop located in the heart of The Mushroom Farm in Hillcrest.
The Reading Rooster carries a wide selection of second-hand books and a few other small items such as paintings and ornaments.
Viv Spencer Meadows, a passionate book lover, runs the shop for the SPCA, and her knowledge and enthusiasm are evident in the selection of the second-hand books that fill the shelves.
The bookshop is a new and innovative way to raise funds for the organisation. Every purchase made goes towards the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s fight against animal cruelty.
The Reading Rooster is located at 450 Kassier Road, Assagay, with an eclectic mix of shops to browse through, two coffee vendors and ample parking.
The charity bookshop is a favourite with readers in the Highway area
