Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust raises funds with Comrades Marathon

Help the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust raise funds and stand a chance to win a car.

AS one of the six official charities of the Comrades Marathon, the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust (HACT) is part of the AmaBeadiBeadi WIN a Car Competition. The Competition is organised and managed through the Comrades Marathon Association (CMA).

The public is invited to purchase the raffle tickets for R50 and stand a chance to win a vehicle during the draw that is set to be on the day of the race.

HACT is an NGO founded in 1990 in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Serving through KwaZulu-Natal, their main focus is the semi-rural and disadvantaged communities of the Valley of 1000 Hills region of KwaZulu-Natal.

The proceeds of the ticket sales are to go towards the organisation’s Othandweni (Place of Love in isiZulu) 24-bed Hospice and Palliative Care In-Patient Unit.

“This dedicated unit provides around-the-clock nursing care for adults and children with advanced stages of cancer and/or AIDS. In a tight economic climate of reduced funding and other hospices closing, HACT’s Comrades campaign has literally helped to keep our doors open with funding for essential costs such as medication, medical supplies, transport, food and nursing personnel,” stated the organisation.

To purchase tickets, a QR code can be scanned on the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust Facebook page. You’ll receive an email with payment confirmation and your ticket number. Tickets are also available at the WozaMoya and Friends stores at the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust, Fields Hill Shopping Centre, Windermere Centre or this link: https://campaigns.uptickets.co.za/hact/amabeadibeadi-win-a-car-2024/
