Vehicle veers off bridge after collision

Multiple people have been injured following a collision between two vehicles.

A VEHICLE veered off the St John’s Bridge, landing on the M13 freeway after a collision on Monday at about 07:00. ALS Paramedics reported that they attended to the scene where they found two vehicles that had collided at the intersection.

“One vehicle lost control, collided with a barrier and veered off the bridge, landing on the freeway below,” said Garrith Jamieson, ALS spokesperson.

Jamieson said seven people were injured from moderate to serious injuries. “They were stabilised and sent to hospital for the help they require,” he said. 

SAPS were present on the scene.
