Multiple people injured in a head-on collision

Seven people were injured in an accident near Savannah Park this morning.

SEVEN people, including two teenagers, have been seriously injured following a head-on collision on the M1 near Savannah Park this morning.

ALS paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said they attended to the accident. “We arrived to find the two badly damaged vehicles on the side of the road. People from both vehicles sustained injuries and were sent to hospital for the care they required,” he said.

Jamieson said the events leading to the collision are unknown at this point.
