Multiple people injured on the N3 Durban-bound

The incident happened just before the Pavilion, and traffic is backed up as one lane is open.

SIXTEEN people have sustained multiple injuries after a fully loaded taxi collided with a bakkie this afternoon.

Among the injured was a four-year-old who sustained serious injuries.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said the incident happened on the N3 Durban-bound just before the Pavilion off-ramp.

“The taxi rolled a few times and ejected some of the patients onto the freeway.”

“The patients sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.

“The traffic is severely affected on the freeway as one lane is open, and paramedics are attending to the injured patients,” said Jamieson.
