WATCH: Biker sustains serious injuries in Pinetown accident

The biker was found a few metres from the incident, and his bike was found on top of the vehicle involved in the collision.

A MAN in his 30s has sustained serious injuries after a serious bike crash on the corner of St Johns Avenue and Payne Street in Pinetown this morning.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said paramedics responded just after 06:30 to the accident and said they were shocked to find the superbike still on top of the vehicle.

“The rider was found a few metres away. He had sustained serious injuries, and Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilise him on the scene before he was transported to a nearby hospital.”

He added that SAPS and metro police were in attendance and will be investigating the cause of the accident.
