Police say it was also established that the same suspect had stolen from the same house in March 2025, where a cellphone and laptop were taken.

A 29-year-old suspect was arrested by the Westville SAPS this week for house break-in and theft.

The station’s communications officer, Captain Elizabeth Squires, said the suspect was arrested on Monday at around 14:30 whilst members of the Westville SAPS crime prevention unit where conducting a stop and search together with JAG security.

Squires said the suspect was found in possession of a large amount of electrical cables and engine parts. Further investigations revealed that the suspect had just committed a house break-in on Rodger Sishi Road.
