She noted that 25.12% of the cohort achieved four or more distinctions, reflecting sustained academic excellence across the grade.

Top learner Aseza Ngema expressed heartfelt gratitude and pride in her achievement.

“I haven’t fully soaked it in yet, but I am very proud to have had the opportunity to represent my school academically. I’m proud of the hard work, sweat, and tears that went into achieving these results, and I’m thankful to God that everything worked out so well,” adding that she is excited about the next chapter as she will be studying computer science.

“My advice to future learners is to work consistently from the very beginning of the year. Consolidate your work daily, and study seriously for the June examinations and trials.

“This makes the final NSC exams far easier to manage, as you already understand what study methods work best for you. It saves time and energy, allowing you to focus fully on revision rather than trying to figure things out at the last minute.”

She thanked God for being her strength and her pillar of comfort, faith, and hope during this season.

“Thank you to my family for their unwavering support, for the snacks and for being as quiet as possible during exam time. I am deeply grateful to my teachers and to Westville Girls’ High School for their dedication, resources, and genuine care for their students.

“Thank you to principal Russell Untiedt for running a tight ship, it truly does not go unnoticed. Lastly, I am thankful for my friends and peers at Westville Girls’ High School. They are an incredible group of supportive young women, and I wish each of them nothing but success in their future endeavours.”

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
