Only weeks left to support Slipper Day
Reach For A Dream calls on the nation to buy their R20 Slipper Day stickers and wear their fuzzy footwear out in the world.
WITH just a few weeks to go until May 29, South Africans are being urged to rally behind Slipper Day, an annual fundraising campaign dedicated to bringing hope to children battling life-threatening illnesses.
To support the initiative one can buy a R20 Slipper Day sticker and wear their favourite slippers, whether at school, work, or home, as a visible show of support.
Proceeds of this campaign go directly towards fulfilling the dreams of children facing serious medical challenges.

Organisers say these dreams are more than just wishes.
“They are a source of hope and strength for young patients and their families. From meeting a hero to experiencing a dream career for a day, each fulfilled wish offers a powerful emotional boost during incredibly difficult times.
“In fact, the campaign helps grant more than six dreams every single day throughout the year. Every sticker brings a child closer to their dream.”
This year’s campaign also includes added incentives to encourage participation.
Supporters who purchase a sticker and wear their slippers on the day can redeem a free short coffee or hot chocolate at Wimpy (terms and conditions apply).
In addition, participants stand a chance to win a share of R2m in prizes, with details available on the sticker itself.
For those unable to visit retail partners, virtual stickers are available online, ensuring that anyone can take part regardless of location.
Schools, businesses, and community groups are also encouraged to order stickers in bulk to maximise their impact.
While the campaign embraces a light-hearted theme, even playfully suggesting slippers can boost productivity or make meetings feel shorter, its mission is serious and urgent.
